THE ARTIFACT

My name is Don Guild, I am a 60 year old disabled male, I have been away from drawing for more than 30 years. Now that I can no longer do the things I used to do I have returned to drawing. I have always loved to draw, ever since I was a child, I started by tracing, to get the feel of things , I am strickly an amateur , but I contine to try an learn. I have no formal training, I am learning as I go. I only ever sold one drawing many many years ago. I sold for $50.00 . I was amazed that someone would pay for it. I was inspired to draw because of many people, first of all, my brother Rob Guild, who has pestered me for years to start drawing again. finally I succumbed to the pressure,  my sister Marg Guild Lambert. She used to draw a little as well, also a very young friend Christine Stephensen, She loves to draw and doodle, and I see great potential  in her. After veiwing many of her drawings on Face Book, I though I would try again. Also a friend of mine Doug Etherington, who loves to photograph different items. I have worked from some of his photos, both are very old buildings, which I will add here. I also would like to learn to paint, in any medium. Acrylic, oils and water colours. I have seen some amazing work by other artists on Linkedin. I have not started this due to the cost at this time. Supplies can be costly. I have no vision of selling my work and would not even know where to start. Drawing for me can be very relaxing and frustrating as well, sort of like golfing, which I was a fanatic about, when I could play. Now I have to resign my self to computer golf, which I enjoy greatly. I would love to get some feed back and advise on my work. Thank you for reading this. I will try to post more latter on.
